period! Both the JWL-1442 and the JWL-1642 offer solid cast iron beds and legs
to give them plenty of weight for vibration dampening.
Standard items include
long tool rests, faceplates, live centers, spur centers, spindle locks, indexing
locks and knockout bars. These items let you get up and turning right away. Our
superior cam lock lever mechanisms enable you to move the headstocks, tool rests
and tailstocks without any tools. The legs have special webbings cast into them
to accept 2x4s for supporting a solid shelf for tool and sand bags. Check the

JWL-1642 - 16" x 42"
This is truly a
magnificent machine, surpassing all others in its price range and category. The
heart of this lathe is the electronic inverter, which enables you to operate at
any speed between 0 RPM and 3,200 RPM. The digital readout lets you dial in the
speed you want - it's that easy. The high/low speed change lever enables you to
change belt positions quickly. The headstock can be moved all the way to the end
of the bed ways for easy outboard turning. The spindle indexes every 10 degrees,
perfect for fluting and veining, and the built-in spindle lock makes it easier
to remove faceplates. We've built two versions - a 115V, 1-1/2HP and 230V, 2HP
to match your power needs and electrical requirements. Pictures simply do not do
