5-Speed Sliding Table Shaper. Includes basic
machine with 7-1/2 HP, 3450 rpm three phase motor with
automatic brake, 5-speed belt and pulley system, cast iron
sliding table, 3/4in. and 1-1/4in. spindles, three steel
insert rings, work hold-down and cutterhead guard assembly,

- Dependable 7-1/2 HP, 3450 rpm three phase motor has an
automatic brake that stops cutter in seconds. Belt
tension lever lets operator change spindle speed quickly
and easily.
- Work hold-down and spring guard holds workpiece
against table and fence, and protects operator from
chips and debris. Entire assembly swings out-of-the-way
for making tooling changes.
- Drop-in spindles (3/4" or 1-1/4" dia.) are
easily mounted or removed, using a locking nut and
special wrench supplied with the machine. Three
removable steel table insert rings are supplied to
accommodate various cutter diameters.
- Up-front controls include a large emergency stop
button, forward/reverse switch for changing spindle
rotation, start/stop switch and spindle lock for
removing or replacing cutter.
- Both 5-Speed Shaper models feature a heavy cast iron
table measuring 31-3/4in. x 39-5/8in. for supporting
large workpieces.
- Sliding Table, featured on Model 43-792, glides on six
adjustable ball bearings for smooth table travel; runs
close to the spindle for accurate shaping with minimal
vibration. Table Lock halts sliding action for
conventional shaping operation.
- Heavy cast iron, extruded aluminum fence assembly is fully
adjustable. Two ports, measuring 4" diameter,
accept an accessory dust collector connector for a
cleaner work environment.
- Miter gage with work clamp provides extra hold-down
support for large shaping projects.
- Fabricated steel cabinet has two front doors,
providing operator with easy access to the motor and
belt pulley system located inside. A limit switch
prevents shaper from starting while doors are open.
- Large handwheel is conveniently positioned at the
right of machine for raising and lowering shaper
spindle.
- Removable door handle prevents unauthorized access to
spindle pulleys.
