THESE
12 AND 20 WOOD TURNING LATHES WERE DESIGNED AND BUILT FOR PROFESSIONALS
WHO WANT SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE. WITH FEATURES LIKE EFFICIENT SPEED SHIFTING,
HIGH TURNING CAPACITY, AND A WIDE RANGE OF MOTOR OPTIONS, THESE MACHINES ARE
VERY VERSATILE. ADD THEIR SUPERIOR DESIGN AND CAST-IRON CONSTRUCTION AND YOU
HAVE VERY STRONG, ACCURATE AND STABLE MACHINES. |
|
A- |
Models 260-1 & 26020-1
With mechanical variable speed are equipped with a
headstock spindle made of precision-machined, high-quality steel and a
clamping system for accessory changing. It is mounted on 2 large sealed and
lubricated-for-life ball bearings. A
dynamically balanced, machined cast-iron single-V pulley with and indexing
mechanism mounted on the spindle.
The spindle nose is threaded
5/8 at both ends and bored for
a Morse No. 2 taper.
For models 260 and 26020 4 speeds are equipped with a 4 step pulley.
Different accessories can be install to the spindle. |
|
B- |
Whenever needed, the operator can increase or decrease speed without
stopping the
machine.
The required speed is selected by using the control lever and gear on the
front of the machine (model
260-1 & 26020-1)
|
|
C- |
A
spring-loaded quick release lever is fitted to the motor mount so as to
change speeds by releasing belt tension and repositioning the drive belt on
the pulley.
(Model 260 & 26020-4 speeds)
|
 |
The
headstock, tailstock, and bed all made out of well ribbed, high-quality
cast-iron to eliminate distortion. The bed guideways are precision- machined
to allow the tailstock and
the tool rest base to slide
easily without friction. |
 |
The headstock cover is removable
for access to the spindle and the indexing mechanism. |
 |
The
tailstock is equipped with a quick-locking eccentric lever system. The
spindle is bored for a Morse No. 2 taper and is self-ejecting. A handwheel
provides 2 tailstock spindle
travel while a locking lever
locks it in position. |
 |
The
tool rest base is made of precision-machined cast-iron and moves easily on
guideways. A lever
locking mechanism quickly secures it in the required p osition. |
 |
The
high-quality, heavy-duty steel base is composed of a one-piece cabinet with
shelving for stability and strength. A large hinged door with latch in front
of the machine gives
access to the mechanism and motor. |
 |
A
powerful, closed and ventilated industrial motor of north american design
ensures exceptional
operating performance. |
 |
Approximate table of speed
ratios is fitted to the front of the headstock. |
 |
All
wood turning models, whether 12 & 20, 4-speed or variable speed, are
equipped with a push-button on/off switch and a magnetic safety switch.
|
 |
