Features

  • At 1,000 plus pounds, this lathe is one of the heaviest and most stable on the market.
  • Features heavy-duty cast iron legs that ensure greater stability and virtual elimination of vibration
  • Heavy-duty cast iron headstock is mounted to the cast iron bed. The bed is precision ground for extremely smooth travel of the tailstock. This combination provides greater rigidity and strength for heavy and rough turnings
  • A powerful 3HP, 3Ph, 230V motor has three speed ranges varying from 0 to 3200 RPM. The low range is from 0 to 910 RPM, the medium is 0 to 2000 RPM, the high is 0 - 3500 RPM.
  • A step pulley drive allows for a simple changes range to range.
  • The variable speed is electronically controlled through a preprogrammed inverter, which delivers excellent torque at the slower speeds. Running on either 1 phase or 3 phase , this lathe will allow for infinite speed adjustments.
  • The headstock comes standard with a digital readout of the spindle RPM, offering an easy and accurate means of exacting the turning speed.
  • Also equipped with a convenient spindle lock for quick removal of faceplates and chucks as well as a spring-loaded indexing pin. The pin offers 24 independent indexing locations giving you the ability to index every 7.5 degrees.
  • The extra large 1-1/4" - 8 spindle features larger, preloaded and sealed bearings for a lifetime of heavy turnings.
  • The 1-1/8" wide poly V-belt transfers the full power from the motor to the spindle at all speeds, resulting in a much smoother transfer of power.
  • The tailstock is precision ground to slide easily along the 350-pound cast iron bed.
  • The positive action cam-locking device makes it easy and quick to lock and unlock. With the 4" ram capability you get more versatility than any other lathe.
  • Both the headstock and the tailstock come standard with a MT-2 to fit many different accessories currently available.
  • Combined, all these attributes, allow wood turning capabilities up to 24" diameter.
